Life is Short

October 9, 2007

I asked the other day what you’d do with a million dollars.  Today I have my answer.

My grandmother is one of the most wonderful people in the world.  She has brought joy and light into the lives of countless people throughout her life, myself included.  Life dealt her a heavy blow this morning and she could use a little bit of that joy and light she’s been spreading for years

If I had a million dollars I’d use it to make this amazing women whole again. The world is a better place with her in it, I hope and pray she recovers to grace us with her smile, love, and laughter once again.

Ben, my heart goes out to you and your family. Yes it is true. Money is not the most valuable thing in life.

I hope everything is alright with your grandmother. Perhaps there is something you can do to help bring joy to her without the money so good luck.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Today was a little better so we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

I am sorry to hear about your Grandmother, and I will say a prayer that she gets better soon.

I think the comment someone made about how money wasn’t the answer to life’s happiness is something my mother always said to me.

My dad was a bit more realistic (IMHO) as he would say “Money does not make the world go around, but it sure greases the wheel.”

As I said, I will pray for her you your family.

Thanks Quentin! I’m happy to report she has moved out of the ICU and into a new hospital closer to home and her family. She’s a trooper : )

Got something to say?
