TaxCut Premium Tax Software Giveaway

March 9, 2009

Taxcuthrblock

If you still haven’t prepared your federal or state tax return for 2008 then you may be interested in this giveaway.  The people at H&R Block sent me a copy of TaxCut Premium Federal edition, which includes a federal e-file and one state program download.

I launched a personal finance software giveaway for Mac users the other day and I didn’t want fellow PC users to feel left out, so this one is for readers that own a PC.  TaxCut Premium will actually run on a Windows PC or a Mac but I’ll probably weed out any Mac users with this question.

H&R Block TaxCut Premium Giveaway

To enter, simply leave a comment below describing why it is you’ll never own a Mac. For example, I’m so used to the keyboard shortcuts on a PC, when I try and use a Mac I feel like a fish out of water.

To learn more about the TaxCut Premium software, visit our post on the best tax software, this version retails for $49.95 so thanks to H&R Block for sending over a free copy!

Rules

To enter, leave a comment below describing why it is you’ll never own a Mac.  The contest will end on Friday, 3/13 and one commentor will be chosen at random as the winner.  I’ll notify the winner via email and ask for a shipping address so I can mail out the tax software.  Good luck!

I am known around the office as the computer whiz. Why? Not because I know anything about IT or even because I’m especially knowledgeable about PCs. It’s because I know all the keyboard shortcuts by heart, so it takes me only a fraction of the time to do a project as it does for others. Switching to a Mac would not only put my efficiency at risk, but my whole reputation!

I will never own a Mac because I’m a gamer and well, Mac just doesn’t cut it for me in that respect. I also feel a certain loyalty to Microsoft and I think Bill Gates is kinda cute in a geeky sort of way. Steve Jobs is just not my type.

I need the right click on the mouse. It just throws me for a loop every time I use a mac and I’ve got to do the hold down on the mouse thing to get the right click options.

I would not own a Mac because:

Their Logo is disgusting. A black and gray apple with a bite out of it. Like saying to me…. here is my disgusting saliva covered moldy apple … do you want some? EWWWWW….

I can’t make my own Apple computer. NAZIS … I tell you! I build my PC’s and get a lot of joy and satisfaction from it. Plus my custom computer is SMOKIN HOT!

I would have to hawk both my children and an arm, leg and half my brain to afford one.

I’m intelligent and don’t need things dumbed (????) down for me.

I’d have to run Windows plus Mac Os and still couldn’t have all the software titles I would like. Hello Apple???? Get your hiney’s out there and get software companies to support your os!!!

    One last reason:

It reminds me of being in school. I was a total geek and don’t want to be reminded everyday of how I was treated like a total LOSER.

I would not buy a Mac because I can install FreeBSD (what Mac OSX is based on) on an Intel-based system (what Mac’s now use for hardware) for roughly half the cost.

I would not buy a mac because over the years, as Windows has become progressively worse, I’ve become progressively worse at adapting outside the PC box. I really enjoy working on the mac’s at work, and I’m sure the learning curve is steep, but I already know how to do everything I need to do on my computer. Why switch now?

I would not buy a mac because I own a windows mobile phone and I can sync my phone with outlook (activesync) free. I would have to buy additional softwares to sync with a mac. Also most of the structural engineering softwares are only for windows.

Wish I could edit comments to correct my grammar. Oh and that weird image was supposed to be a smiley on #3 🙂

    1. I build my PC the way “I” like it and it does everything that a MAC can do +
    2. It cost me $500 to build a Powerful Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4GB RAM, 8800GTS a year ago (I doubt you can find a Mac as powerful as my pc for twice or ever thrice as much.
    3. My PC has a soul ? how about your mac?

….becuase though mac people say they’re easier, I can never figure out what I’m doing.

I will probably never own a mac because I will not be able to afford it. If I can afford it…I might buy one.
