Got the report —Thanks for the great tips. I am retired and I had some savings more than half of which I have lost in these last 3 years due to economic crisis. Any information and tips that can help me learn more to recover my losses and start making some money for my happy retirement are most welcome. Thank you so much for sharing all these

Just retired–need to shop wisely and frugally. Hope to do better about shopping with a plan and cooking and eating what I buy. Hopefully it will help with any big ticket items. Wish they had a “Senior” price since my income is half of what it was!!

I am way past the age of financial planning, unfortunately! However, I am hoping to learn as much as possible. If there is any way to increase my retirement funds, I am all ears.
Also, I want to know if I can pay into Teacher Retirement and Social Security. It seems that both will pay me about the same at age 70 which is only about $1390 per month. I live in Texas, should I move to another state? If I pay in to Social Security for eight more years will this increase my Social Security check when I turn 70? Please help!

I just wanted some basic cable channels for my Pastor like hallmark, history etc… without paying for the full package and getting roped into the full “you must have the full digital experience to fully appreciate” sales pitch and this really helped as we do not need all of the other programming in the church.
    So thank you…

Hello! I love this blog (even though I don’t apply so much of it). I am in my early-30s and struggle horribly with finances! In spite of having no family or assets to maintain (just my car…which is depreciating as I write this)….I just can never get ahead. 4 main things, rent, student loans, utilities, and car costs (just insurance and maintenance) just bury me all the time. My main struggle is income. In spite of having a college degree, I fail to clear $30K on an annual basis. After taxes are taken out, I don’t even want to think about my actual take home pay!

So I’m looking for tips to help conserve the money that I have & also find ways to enhance my income. So thank you for this…and for all the others out there, be encouraged. Don’t let your bank account beat you down!
