What do you guys think about the Canon SLR Eon? It's supposedly the entry level SLR camera, and I'm thinking I should get one for my wife who is really getting into photography.

Thnx

jim, I think those posts are a good read for anyone in the corporate world. The crazy thing is most of us learn from actually making mistakes, reading about them doesn't always sink in. I'll have to remind myself of Gary's experience next time I'm pulling an all-nighter.

Big Winner, thanks for pointing it out. I hadn't really looked at the A-series of the Powershot, just the Digital Elph. I'll have to take another look., thanks!

Flexo, yeah the digital rebel is sweet but we're looking for more of a compact camera. Plus I bought my wife a Rebel SLR a few years ago and she hardly ever uses it so I don't want to shell out for a digital one : )

My current favorite is the Canon Digital Rebel XTi, but that might be a little too big for what you're looking for. Thanks for sharing my article with your readers.

I use the camera on my iPhone, but the quality is nowhere near that of a good digital camera. On Amazon, the PowerShot A590IS is the bestselling digital camera and has good reviews too. At $150 it seems like an ok deal.
