Honda Owners – $15 American Express Gift Card in October

October 1, 2008

AmericanExpressPersonaCard

In honor of Fall Car Care Month, Honda is offering a $15 American Express Persona gift card to Honda owners that spend $50 or more in their service department in October.

I recently had my oil changed, tires rotated, and some routine maintenance done on my Honda Accord that added up to over $50. If I’d have known about this sooner I would have waited until October so I could have gotten the $15 Persona gift card!

After you have your Honda serviced you can submit your reciept via snail mail to get your card, or you can just go to the Honda service gift site.

I purchased my Honda Odyssey Van new from Holler Honda in 2004. This is the best service i have ever received from a dealer over the past 55 years.

Regarding the $15 American Express reward card: I entered the website on the Customer Appreciation card (www.hondaservicegift.com) on October 2, 2009; however I did not receive any prompts in order to complete the request.
    Please help.
    Thank you.

I had my Honda Accord serviced on October 6, 2009. I completed the form on your website to receive a $15.00 American Express branded prepaid reward card. Each time I submitted my request (per instructions) I received a denial stating that service had to be performed in 2009. SERVICE WAS PERFORMED ON OCTOBER 6, 2009. Please explain why I received a denial when I have followed all the instructions.

I have repeatedly typed in the date of service, and I keep getting a pop-up that it needs to be serviced in 2009, I have typed 2009 repeatedly. What” up?

I completed your entire required submittal. The pop-up says my car needs to be serviced in 2009. It was serviced October 2, 2009 and that is what I typed. Why do you make it so difficult to receive you REWARD?

I have spent over one hour trying to enter the information and it will not take it. It keeps stating my service has to be done in 2009 and I am entering 10122009? This will frustrate people so much they will never want to buy a Honda or never attempt one of these dumb things again. You need to check out Apple or Southwestern if you want to find out how to run a company to give the customers the proper attention.

I clicked on the red ” service gift site” prompt and got through right away to enter data requested for the $15.00 gift card. Love the people at Metro Honda in Rhode Island! Great service and great facility.

  24. George on November 14th, 2009 8:14 pm

I too, cannot get past it telling me I had to complete the service in 2009.

What kind of a gimmick is this? We tried and tried to fill out the form as it said and it kept coming back that we needed to have this done in 2009. We were wondering what year they think this is??? We had our service done Oct. l, 2009. Talk about high blood pressure? My wife had to take her pills after trying to get this through. My husband had to go to his recliner after this event. We old people and thought maybe we weren’t smart enough to do this. But, from what others are saying, guess we aren’t the only ones. We can’t understand why a big company like Honda couldn’t correct a matter like this and nick it in the bud. Is someone sleeping on the job – or maybe on a long extended vacation.
What a poor Public Relation stunt this is – hard to believe. We think for all of the trouble we went through that we should get 2 – $15 cards – but really don’t expect to get anything. I had a good rest and my pills are taking effect, so I don’t have to go to the Heart Doctor.

I was lucky enough to get the card but haven’t been able to use the silly thing. I’ve tried to use it at Wal-mart, the gas station, a restaurant, and several other places. It won’t work. What a waste of time!

Got something to say?
