Free TurboTax Advice 2009

Free TurboTax advice is available through a new program where IRS enrolled agents from TurboTax answer your tax questions for free, whether you are a TurboTax customer or not. Taxpayers can submit a personal, federal tax-related question online through the end of the month, and they’ll receive a personal call back from one of these tax professionals, at a time they request.

There is usually a fee for Intuit’s “Ask a Tax Expert” program based on the length of time you spend on your tax question. However, through the end of this month, free TurboTax advice is available at no cost to you and the question doesn’t have to be about the tax preparation software. You can ask any question about filing your federal taxes.

TurboTax has been rated some of the best tax software available for tax preparation. We’ll take a look in a future post in more depth at some of the new features available in TurboTax for 2009 but here are a few highlights about the software:
