The company with the site is Pacific WebWorks which is not part of Intuit, the company that owns & sells Quickbooks. Also, the version they list that they are "giving away" is 2007, not 2008. " No, you're not getting a copy of Quickbooks Simple for free - you are signing up for a monthly service that costs $49.90 per month. And after reading another statement from their T&C page, you may not get the free software anyway ... "With every approved IMS merchant account you will receive a copy of QuickBooks Simple Start Edition 2007 at no charge. " If you don't qualify for their merchant account, you won't get the free software anyway. And you'll still be signed up for the $49.90 per month ...
