As far as coupons go, a savvy shopper will think twice, even three times, before using them.

Many people believe that name brand products are of better quality or taste better, but blind testing almost always proves otherwise. The store brands are usually just as wholesome and tasty, but they don’t have the huge promotional or national advertising costs attached to them.

Besides total price, I also compare the unit price of the contents as well. Brand names often have less product in the same size containers as store brands.

I never use a coupon to purchase a name brand product if the store brand equivalent costs less–period!
