American Express Business Gold Rewards Card - First Bill

I wrote a while back how you could make $125 by signing up for an American Express Business Gold Rewards Card and gave step-by-step instructions on how you could redeem your money.
Following My Plan
My first bill for the credit card arrived today so now I’m on the third step. The picture may be a little hard to make out but it shows a balance of $1.50 and zero membership rewards points available. The credit card application indicated the rewards points would be credited to my card 6-8 weeks after my first purchase so they should show up in another 2-4 weeks. I’m hoping for less than 4 weeks so the rewards points will be available on my next statement so I can go ahead and make my big purchase.
Paying the Bill
The statement indicated I can pay my bill online and I gave it some thought since I already have an account on the American Express web site for my Blue Cash credit card. However, I don’t intend to keep this card long-term so I don’t want to hassle with the setup and will probably mail in my payment for $1.50. I pay all my other bills through an online bill pay service and set them up to pay the day they’re due so I keep my money as long as possible. But since this is such a small amount I will probably just mail it in tomorrow so I don’t forget.
Process Overview
This is my first time signing up for one of these offers and so far the process of getting my free money has gone pretty smoothly. It has required a few steps and some waiting but I’m getting closer to earning the rewards and look forward to using them on my big purchase!
